Salary / Pay
MTS: Pay Level 1 (Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900). Havaldar CBIC/CBN: Pay Level 2 (Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200). Plus central government DA and allowances.

Rs. 100 for eligible candidates. Nil for Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen.

Exam / Selection Pattern

  • Paper-I: Numerical & Mathematical Ability (20 Qs, 60 marks), Reasoning & Problem Solving (20 Qs, 60 marks), General Awareness (25 Qs, 75 marks), English Language (25 Qs, 75 marks). Total 90 Qs, 270 marks, 90 min. NO NEGATIVE MARKING.
  • Paper-II: Short essay/letter in English or Hindi — 25 marks, 45 minutes. Qualifying.
  • Havaldar PET (Male): 1600m run in 15 min, carrying 50kg for 100m. Female: 1km in 20 min.

Selection Process

  1. 1Paper-I: CBT – Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning, English, GK (NO negative marking)
  2. 2Paper-II: Descriptive Test – English/Hindi letter or essay (qualifying for Havaldar merit ranking)
  3. 3Physical Efficiency & Standard Test (PET/PST) for Havaldar posts only

  2. 2.Open SSC MTS 2026 application link and select post preference.
  3. 3.Pay Rs. 100 fee and submit before 08 August 2026.

Important Notes

  • NO negative marking in Paper-I — attempt all 90 questions. This is a major advantage over other SSC exams.
  • Havaldar posts require physical tests. Begin fitness preparation alongside exam prep if targeting Havaldar.
