Free SSC mock tests and test series

Choose the exam you are preparing for, check its timer and marking rules, then start a mock. CGL, CHSL and MTS practice is free without a login. Each test provides a score and answer review; chapter practice helps you work on the gaps it reveals.

Which test should you take first?

New to the syllabus

Try chapter questions untimed. Explain the method before adding speed; a low diagnostic score is a starting point, not a verdict.

Know the concepts, run out of time

Use timed subject practice. Identify questions worth leaving and returning to within the allowed section. Unused time does not transfer in locked sections.

Ready for a full paper

Take a mock with the stated rules. After submission, review wrong, guessed and unattempted questions before opening another paper.

Review a mock in four steps

  1. Separate concept errors from calculation slips, reading errors and time-pressure guesses.
  2. For a wrong answer, write the exact condition or step you missed. A note saying only “careless” is too vague to help.
  3. Re-solve the problem without its explanation, then attempt a different question on the same concept.
  4. Compare accuracy by section across fresh attempts. Repeating a memorised paper can inflate the score without improving transfer.

For CGL or CHSL Tier I, 62 correct and 18 wrong answers give 62 × 2 − 18 × 0.5 = 115 marks; 20 unanswered questions contribute zero. Accuracy among attempted questions is 62/80 = 77.5%. Keep this separate from percentage of maximum marks.

A realistic seven-day practice cycle

Day 1: diagnostic and error review. Days 2–3: two weak topics with untimed explanations. Day 4: timed subject practice. Day 5: revisit the error log and check retention. Day 6: a fresh full mock. Day 7: compare errors and plan the next cycle. Adjust the workload to your available time; completing more tests is useful only when you learn from them.

Questions about free SSC tests

Are these official SSC papers?

Mock tests are practice resources, not official question papers or guarantees of selection. Use the SSC website for notices, eligibility, schedules and amendments. Each exam hub provides more specific format guidance.

Do the mocks predict my rank or cut-off?

No. Your raw practice score measures that attempt. It is not an official normalised score, percentile or rank prediction. Compare your own recurring mistakes and timing on fresh questions.

Is Hindi-English practice available?

CGL and CHSL have bilingual chapter-practice links above. Language availability varies by test; inspect the selected test before starting.
